Why coding?

I'm someone who wants to turn ideas into reality and make a positive impact on the world around us. The journey of creating something from scratch and witnessing it come to life through code is an experience that never fails to inspire and motivate me.

In 2016, I proudly represented Patermater, a startup dedicated to elderly care, as a team member in a social enterprise competition held by the Center for Entrepreneurship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am thrilled to share that our team clinched the 1st Runner-up position, marking a significant achievement. This competition holds special meaning as it focuses on a social mission, validating the effectiveness of our direction and hard work.

In 2020, My friends (met in HKUST) and I joined Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition (YPEC). YPEC aims to act as a dynamic platform for prospective or young engineers to generate innovative ideas from various engineering perspectives. We developed a demo project titled "Self-ventilation system for odor & infection control in aircraft toilets."

This idea was born out of the numerous news reports during the COVID-19 pandemic, suggesting that the virus could easily spread in airplane toilets due to the existing airflow design. Thus, We would like to come up with an innovative solution aimed to improve the airflow to reduce the risk of infection.

The outcome was highly successful, earning us the second runner-up. Despite the challenges we faced during airflow simulation using differnent software tools, we found the experience to be incredibly rewarding and meaningful.
